8-9 Stone The Crows (should be everyone in this scene - Pharaoh, Joseph, Narrator, Children, Valley Girls (4), and two brothers who can pose as guards shirtless !!!! Rest of wives and brothers may be part of stage ensemble for this number because you are part of Joseph's dreams explained right before it......so please be ready to catch up on this later if you can't make it tonight....

NEED PHARAOH's BACK-UP GIRLS TONIGHT! You and Pharaoh will work on Song of the Kind tonight with Pharaoh....

Reherasal Mon 31 and Set Update: Base Painting completed

Sunday afternoon has come and gone and the base painting is done on the set.

Left to do is the projection screen, prison bars for Close Every Door (4 sets), gather furniture and tree set pieces, and general touch-ups....including cleaning up.

Set Update:
The Set is basically DONE! Thank you to everyone who helped out today! All the platforms, ramps, and escape steps are DONE. All platforms are faced with foam - only minor foam coverings and base painting to go. Thanks for all the hard work today everyone who came.

Set Construction Day: Sat Aug 29

We're building set on Saturday Aug 29 10am-6pm.

The scissor lift arrives at 8am to be driven up the lobby into the theatre.

When a crew arrives, it's a warehouse run for the wood, foam and other materials to build the platform legs and fronts. Goal this weekend is to get platforms UP and foam on the faces of the platforms and temple. Then as that gets down, base paint everything...

Our Detailing Artist will be painting and detailing the proscenium Sat and Sun....

Lots to do for people who can wield screwguns, run the table saw, and help gather set pieces and materials. Need your help

Disco Lights Needed

Hello world - we are looking for disco lights like this - the rotating ball with colored lenses lit from inside.

We are on the MAIN STAGE - please use Buffalo St. Ramp Door at rear of theatre.
Dress comfortably and wear close-toed shoes as we are on a working stage and set construction has started.

Set Update

The Joseph set has been started....platforms are laid out on the floor awaiting their legs and the frame of the temple/projection screen has been erected....thanks Jordan.

Set construction on Saturday Aug 29 10am-6pm - painting proscenium and placing legs on platforms to build their height.....all help is needed if possible.

Sunday Platform Day - BCT

Anyone not going to dance rehearsal or available this afternoon....

We are laying the platforms down on the stage for Joseph this afternoon 1-5pm.
They are already at the theatre and we'll be clearing and laying out the stage for rehearsals and next weekend's set construction.

So anyone available today (Sun 8-23) 1pm-5pm who is not at dance rehearsal, stop on by the theatre (buffalo st. stage door).....

Song Breakdown by Cast Member

The breakdown of the songs has been posted - it lists each song and the cast members/characters who are in each song. You can compare this to your schedule to see which rehearsals you should be at.

Each time a rehearsal notice is posted on the blog it will also list those who need to be there (barring pre-determined conflicts of course).

This is flexible on our part (the directors) and may change if we feel we need more or less people in a number so please be understanding and open to adjustments.

KICK-OFF CAST MEETING and REHEARSAL

Congratulations to the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We are excited to welcome you to the production and look forward to working over the next month and a half to Opening Night.

An All-Cast meeting is schedule for Wed. August 12 at 7pm-9pm in the Little Theatre. All cast who didn't mark it as a conflict should be there. We will be handing out Cast Information, Scripts and more. All cast need to provide a $20.00 deposit for their show materials. Scripts/scores are collected at the end of the show and you will receive your deposit back.

We will also be rehearsing some music Wed night.

Again, congratulations and we shall see you at the Cast Meeting.

Cast Announcement Pending....

It was a busy weekend with auditions. Thank you to everyone who came out in support of the Barrow-Civic and community theatre. We are in the process of making the final calls and hope to have the cast announcement up by this evening.

ALMOST....THERE...

Auditions are literally right on top of us.....
Saturday Aug. 8 and Sunday Aug. 9 at the Little Theatre.
Use the side alley entrance.

2pm - Youth Grades 4-9. You do not need prepared music - youth will be taught a short song and dance combination.

3pm - Grades 10 through Adults. Please bring a prepared piece of music to sing. CDs are OK without vocal tracks. You will also be taught a short dance combination. Wear comfortable clothing/shoes.

Auditions are around the corner

Can you feel the excitement building? Auditions are this coming weekend for the next musical production at the Barrow-Civic Theatre.

Director Ted Smith, Music Director John McConnell and Choreographer Marc Holland are ready to hold auditions Sat Aug 8 and Sun Aug 9 at the BCT Little Theatre. Youth Grades 4-9 will audition at 2pm either day; older youth and adults will audition at 3pm either day.

Grades 4-9 do not need to prepare music; everyone else should prepare a short musical piece to be sung for auditions. In addition, everyone will be taught a short dance combination-please wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

No prior musical, acting or dance experience is required for this community theatre production!
